Acupuncture for Fertility
Fertility acupuncture offers calm, expert support through a demanding time. We begin with the basics that matter most: understanding your cycle, getting timing right and putting simple habits in place so you feel steadier. In session, I focus on hormonal balance and cycle regulation, pelvic and uterine blood flow and endometrial receptivity, and settling the nervous system so stress, sleep and mood are better supported. Care is matched to your cycle or clinic plan and adjusted to your availability. Ideally, I work with both partners; male factors account for about 50% of infertility cases.

benefits at a glance
Full health intake: cycle and reproductive history, goals and timeline; past and current health; medications/supplements and any tests you wish to share; lifestyle and habits. I interpret this through a Chinese medicine lens to identify patterns and set a personalised plan. I will also ask to have a look at your tongue and check your pulse as part of the TCM diagnosis.
Treatment: acupuncture with fine, sterile needles; when appropriate I may add cupping, gentle manual work, heat therapy or electro-acupuncture.
Lifestyle support: practical tips you can use between sessions, including clear cycle/body basics, better sleep and simple stress tools.
Follow-up: we review progress and adjust points and pacing as your cycle or treatment evolves.

How we plan your care?
Every person and timeline is different. I will suggest a sensible timing and frequency, then shape the plan around your availability and what feels realistic. We co create a programme that fits your life.
Timing and frequency
A minimum of three months is recommended for both natural conception and IVF/IUI, ideally with weekly sessions so we can work with the phases of each cycle. If weekly is not possible, we will agree spacing you can sustain. If your timeframe is shorter, we focus support around key milestones. If you are mid cycle or mid IVF, you can start now and we will tailor care to where you are.
For male fertility, sperm development runs on roughly a three month cycle; we plan within this window, ideally weekly, to support sperm quality.
Why this timeframe?
To work across the follicular, ovulation and luteal phases, or with stimulation, trigger, transfer and the two week wait in IVF/IUI.
To support nervous system balance, sleep and digestion, which often influence cycle patterns.
To build circulation and steadier energy over consecutive weeks.
Male factor: it covers one full sperm cycle (around three months) so we can support quality consistently.
